Senior Manager, FATCA/CRS Compliance
Job Description
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
FATCA/CRS Compliance is part of the Global Compliance Team and overseeing RBC’s FATCA and CRS governance regarding compliance to FATCA and CRS regulatory requirements. As a second line of defense oversight function, we are looking for a FATCA/CRS subject matter expert to join our growing team to help us enhance our compliance program to meet evolving risks in the tax information reporting spaces. As Senior Manager, you will ensure that program and activities are aligned with RBC’s Enterprise Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) Framework. In addition, you are expected to support and advice to business stakeholders on FATCA/CRS issues, and provide objective guidance, independent challenge of RBC’s compliance with FATCA and CRS laws, rules and regulations globally.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Lead the FATCA/CRS compliance program aligning with the RBC Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) Framework, ensuring consistent oversight, governance, and adherence to RCM Policy and Standards (e.g. policies & procedures, RegComp system requirements, controls, risk assessments and management reports)
Support the development, maintenance and management of RBC’s Enterprise FATCA/CRS Policy and Control Standards
Identify, escalate and oversee remediation of issues as appropriate
Maintain FATCA and CRS regulations inventory, tracking regulatory changes, updates to law or guidance, and associated action items to ensure timely and complete implementation across the enterprise
Establish and implement formal training and communication strategies to ensure FATCA and CRS laws, rules and regulations are well-socialized and understood.
Provide the team with support on strategic projects and program governance activities
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaborative solutions.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
5+ years of subject matter expertise in FATCA&CRS and relevant experience in a Legal, Compliance and/or Risk Management function
University degree specializing in business, tax or equivalent, CPA designation preferred
Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities.
Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Nice-to-have:
Experience at large, complex global financial institution or advance knowledge of relevant products.
Key competencies include initiative, judgment, analytical thinking and problem solving and decision making
Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
