Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday As Trading Specialist - Risk & Opportunities, you'll play a pivotal role in helping shape commercial performance across the Consumer business. Working at the heart of trading operations, you'll provide essential analytical insight and operational support, ensuring trading forecasts, risks, and opportunities are accurately identified, tracked, and communicated. Partnering with stakeholders across Consumer, you'll help deliver robust weekly trading models, create high-quality content for senior governance forums, and support informed decision-making at every level. You'll also contribute to quarterly planning cycles, enabling predictable performance management and helping the business respond confidently to changing market conditions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys turning data into actionable insight and influencing business outcomes in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment. Own and present weekly trading performance insights, ensuring trading model inputs and outputs are accurate, complete, and aligned across products, channels, and key comparators. Lead Risk & Opportunities (R&O) forecasting and analysis, providing a clear view of trading drivers, assumptions, risks, and growth opportunities to support business decision-making. Collaborate across Trading, Finance, Channels, and Proposition teams to create a single, aligned outlook and ensure consistency in performance reporting. Produce engaging, high-quality content for senior governance forums, clearly communicating key trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions. Drive robust quarterly planning and forecasting, delivering reconciled forecasts, supporting analysis, and actionable insights that enable predictable business performance. Analyse performance trends and variances, identifying root causes and translating complex data into clear, meaningful recommendations. Act as a central point of coordination for trading performance, ensuring a single source of truth and strong alignment across multiple stakeholders. Maintain excellence in data accuracy and integrity, proactively resolving discrepancies and ensuring consistent trading inputs across systems and reporting processes. Support operational and performance reviews, helping teams understand results, benchmark performance, and identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Experience in commercial trading, analytics, performance management, or commercial finance, ideally within telecoms or another consumer-focused industry. Strong analytical skills, with advanced Excel capabilities and experience interpreting large datasets; exposure to BI and reporting tools is advantageous. A solid understanding of key trading KPIs, including volume, churn, ARPU, customer mix, and conversion performance. Experience supporting forecasting, trading cycles, and Risk & Opportunities (R&O) processes, with the ability to assess performance drivers and business impacts. The ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations, while building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
