Northrop Grumman is seeking to hire a Principal Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer to join the Supplier Mission Assurance team. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL.
What You'll Get to Do:

Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
* Develop and implement supplier quality evaluation and control systems aligned with contract requirements and NG policies.
* Assess and assure supplier processes and product quality, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and technical standards.
* Lead supplier risk management, including classification (Critical, Key, Standard), pre-award capability assessments, and source-selection evaluations.
* Conduct supplier audits, performance assessments, and product/process verification activities; monitor performance trends and report risks to management.
* Manage supplier non-conformances, waivers, deviations, and discrepancy reporting (Material Review Board); drive root-cause analysis and corrective-preventive actions.
* Oversee source inspection and coordination with customers; verify completeness of End Item Data Packages and manufacturing travelers prior to shipment.
* Maintain the approved supplier list and SAP Vendor/Part Master databases; utilize performance data and assessment tools to evaluate supplier capability.
* Interface with program management, engineering, procurement, and supplier management to align procurements with mission-assurance objectives.
* Communicate supplier performance, quality status, and risk updates to senior management and stakeholders.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelors of Science degree and 5 years of relevant experience, OR a Masters degree and 3 years of relevant experience, OR a PhD and 1 year of relevant experience.
* Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
