Position Overview
The firm is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to take on a client-facing technical leadership role responsible for structural design, quality control, and day-to-day management of client relationships on building and special-structure projects. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise, sound engineering judgment, and the maturity to represent the firm directly with architecture-firm clients.

Key Responsibilities
Lead structural design and analysis for new construction and renovation projects, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures
Review and stamp structural drawings and calculations as the engineer of record
Serve as a primary point of contact for architecture-firm and building-owner clients, managing day-to-day communication and expectations
Produce highly detailed, constructible documents that anticipate field conditions and minimize change orders
Support forensic engineering assignments, including existing-building evaluations and condition assessments
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical quality control across project teams
Coordinate with project managers on scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects
Represent the firm in client meetings, site visits, and project coordination calls
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or closely related field)
15–20 years of progressive structural engineering experience, including buildings and special structures
Active Structural Engineer (SE) license
Demonstrated experience serving as engineer of record on building projects
Strong working knowledge of applicable building codes and design standards
Proven ability to manage client relationships directly, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience mentoring or leading junior engineering staff
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with forensic engineering or existing-building evaluation work
Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit structural workflows
Prior experience working directly with architecture firms as primary clients
Business development or client-growth experience
