The team oversees financial accounting, tax reporting, project and construction accounting, fixed assets, payroll, and statutory reporting while ensuring compliance with Armenian legislation and applicable accounting standards. Working in close partnership with internal stakeholders and external auditors, the team provides the financial foundation that supports TUMO's continued growth and global expansion.The Chief Accountant will be leading a team of three Accountants and reporting directly to the VP of Finance.About the RoleTUMO Group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Chief Accountant to lead the Group's accounting function and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial and tax reporting across multiple legal entities and international operations. The Chief Accountant will oversee the accounting team, manage complex financial transactions, and ensure compliance with Armenian legislation and applicable international accounting practices.This role requires experience in financial accounting, taxation, construction accounting, project accounting, and cross-border transactions, as well as leadership and analytical skills.ResponsibilitiesFinancial AccountingLead and manage the accounting team and operations of TUMO Group and its affiliated entities.Allocate responsibilities, review performance, and support professional development.Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Maintain accounting records in accordance with Armenian accounting legislation and applicable international accounting standards.Develop, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.Supervise general ledger activities, reconciliations, and period-end closing processes.Coordinate external audits and provide required documentation and explanations.Group and Project AccountingManage consolidated accounting processes across the Group.Oversee accounting for projects implemented by the Foundation, ensuring accurate allocation of revenues across the projects, expenditures, grants, and donor-funded activities.Ensure proper accounting treatment of restricted and unrestricted funding.Monitor financial performance of projects and support project managers with financial information.Construction and Capital Project AccountingManage accounting for construction and renovation projects.Ensure proper recognition and capitalization of construction costs and other capital expenditures.Monitor construction-in-progress (CIP) accounts and capitalization upon project completion.Maintain fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and asset registers.Ensure compliance with accounting standards related to capital investments.International OperationsOversee accounting related to TUMO's international centers operating under franchise and partnership models.Ensure proper accounting treatment of franchise fees, licensing arrangements, service agreements, and one-time transactions.Coordinate accounting issues arising from international operations and cross-border financial activities.Manage accounting for transactions with non-resident individuals and entities, including withholding tax obligations and treaty considerations where applicable.Real Estate and Lease AccountingManage accounting related to lease agreements, rental income, and rental expenses.Ensure proper accounting treatment of leased properties and real estate transactions.Monitor lease-related obligations and ensure accurate financial reporting.Revenue RecognitionEnsure accurate recognition of deferred revenues and earned revenues.Monitor advance payments,...
