Harbor Health is an entirely new multi-specialty clinic group in McKinney, TX utilizing a modern approach to co-create health with those who get, give, and pay for it — allowing everyone to fully flourish. As the face of our clinics, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient support and communication, welcoming members, and facilitating a seamless experience that builds satisfaction, trust, and organizational loyalty. You will work collaboratively with our care team to deliver a member-centered experience that aligns with our mission of transforming healthcare through our payvider model.POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMember Experience & CommunicationGreet all patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming mannerPrepare patients for their appointments and inform them of relevant and required information for their visitProvide clear communication to members around the services they are scheduled to receiveProactively communicate unexpected schedule delays to patients and assist with member comfort should delays ariseKeep the reception and patient waiting areas clean and organizedAdministrative & DocumentationObtain copies of insurance cards, driver's licenses, authorizations, referrals, and other required appointment documentation and save them appropriately in the practice EMRPerform demographic and insurance validation and inform patients of privacy policies and proceduresSchedule patient appointments and follow-up appointments per established policies and proceduresCollect patient co-payments, reconciliation charges, and outstanding balances upon check-in and submit batches dailyOther duties as assignedDESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCERequired:High School Diploma or equivalentProficiency in medical terminology and insurance practicesProficient in the use of computer programs and applications including Google Suite and practice EMR systemsCompetency in basic arithmetic to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and make change accuratelyKnowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codingExcellent customer service skills with a positive, proactive service attitudeEffective professional communication — verbal and written — with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgroundsAbility to work effectively as a team member while functioning independently with sound judgmentFlexibility to shift priorities, maintain confidentiality, and establish effective interpersonal work relationshipsPreferred:Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or emergency room settingsCurrent BLS Certification for healthcare providersBilingual in English/SpanishWHAT WE OFFERCompetitive salary and incentivesGenerous PTO10 paid holidaysMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401k Investment PlanCompany EquityAt Harbor Health, we're transforming healthcare in Texas through collaboration and innovation.
