In this flexible role, you will provide essential clinical and administrative support across our healthcare teams, ensuring smooth clinic operations and exceptional member experiences. This position is ideal for a healthcare professional who thrives in varied environments and wants to make a meaningful impact while maintaining schedule flexibility. As part of our payvider model — integrating care delivery with health insurance — you will contribute to transforming healthcare by delivering member-centered care in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESGreet members and escort them to exam rooms while creating a welcoming experienceRecord vital signs, chief complaints, and update member medical histories accuratelyPrepare exam rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are readily availableAssist providers during examinations and procedures as directedAdminister medications and immunizations per provider orders and organizational protocolsPerform venipuncture and capillary blood draws for laboratory testingPerform point-of-care testing including blood glucose monitoring, rapid strep tests, and urinalysisProcess laboratory specimens and coordinate lab ordersPrepare and maintain medical supplies, instruments, and equipmentDocument all clinical activities accurately in the electronic health record systemSchedule follow-up appointments and communicate care instructions to membersMaintain exam room cleanliness and ensure compliance with infection control standardsSupport clinic workflow and respond to urgent needs across the facilityCollaborate with clinical team members to optimize member care deliveryMaintain member confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulationsDESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCERequired:High School Diploma or equivalentCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant programCurrent Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)Current BLS/CPR Certification1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical settingDemonstrated phlebotomy experience with proficiency in venipuncture techniquesProficiency with electronic health record systemsStrong clinical skills including vital signs, injections, and phlebotomyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and adapt to varying clinic needs across multiple locationsFlexibility to work different shifts and locations as neededProfessional demeanor and commitment to member-centered carePreferred:Experience in primary care or multi-specialty clinic settingsBilingual in English/SpanishFamiliarity with value-based care or integrated healthcare delivery modelsExperience working in fast-paced or startup healthcare environmentsWHAT WE OFFERCompetitive hourly compensationFlexible PRN scheduling that accommodates your availabilityMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) Investment PlanCompany EquityCollaborative and dynamic work environment with a team passionate about changing the healthcare landscapeAt Harbor Health, we're transforming healthcare in Texas through collaboration and innovation.
