McLeod Cardiology Associates Florence is seeking a PRN Night Shift Nurse Practitioner to join their team of dedicated providers!
Qualifications/Training:
- Minimum of a master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner required.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:
- A valid SC RN License as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) verified by the LLR.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by approved accrediting agency.
- Prescriptive privileges or are eligible to apply.
Job Description:
- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Assesses needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
- Records physical findings, and formulates plans and prognosis, based on patient's condition.
- Plans, implements, and coordinates care to meet the holistic age specific needs of patients.
- Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.
- Demonstrates professionalism and integrity.
- Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician.
- Discusses case with physician and other heal professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Prescribe medications and provide patient education on medication management.
- Perform procedures as needed, such as central line placements and thoracentesis.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Provide patient education and counseling, empowering individuals to take an active role in their health.
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain comprehensive medical records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
- Maintain professional development and stay updated with the latest advancements in cardiology.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment, promoting collaboration and teamwork.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of South Carolina.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGNP, etc.).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a cardiology setting.
- Excellent clinical skills and a strong foundation in cardiology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and medical software.
- CPR certification is required.
- A commitment to providing patient-centered, compassionate care.
