Position Summary:The PICC Nurse assesses patients and places vascular access devices in settings ranging from the inpatient hospital room to a patient’s home. The PICC Nurse also provides care, maintenance, troubleshooting and education for existing VAD’s. Services are provided in accordance with StatPoint Medical policies and procedures and in compliance with medical orders. The PICC Nurse works collaboratively with the in-office team to deliver excellent care to patients. Primary Responsibilities/Scope of Practice:Represent SPM professionally at all timesWork collaboratively with patients, customers, and the administrative team to schedule visitsDrive personal and/or company vehicle in the completion of job duties, including travel to the Company office, patient homes, hospitals, SNF’s, and other locations as neededArrive at customer locations on-time, appropriately dressed, and with a desire to helpEstablish a positive rapport with providers, caregivers, patients and familiesAssess patient’s physical condition and medical history to determine the proper interventionVerify or obtain provider orders and consent for the most appropriate interventionPlace VAD’s including PIV, extended dwell catheters, midline, PICC, CVC and mid-thigh femoral catheters. Perform lab draws, transfusion workups, catheter declots, port access, dressing change, medication or blood administration, and any other vascular access or infusion services as neededMaintain current nursing licensure in all States in which services are deliveredComply with all State and Federal regulations and laws, including employee health and safety protections mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), patient privacy and data security required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as all infusion therapy standards of practiceComplete trainings and competencies, both initial and ongoing, as requiredAssist in staff orientation and training as requestedOther nursing or administrative duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State(s) of practicePICC Certified Two years of RN experience placing ultrasound-guided VAD’sAccess to reliable transportationAble to send/receive text messages, work with smartphone apps, and use GPS navigationAble to work collaboratively with co-workers and customersAble to work independently in all care settingsAble to meet attendance, punctuality, and other reliability requirements of the positionAble to push/pull 50+ lb in positioning patients Apply for this Position To proceed please read and accept our Privacy Policy Submit Thanks for applying!
