The Central New York group's main business is the implementation of mission-critical digital mobile communication systems for Government & Public Safety Communications customers.Job Description**The Field Service Technician MUST live a commutable distance to Syracuse, New York. The Public Safety customers are located centrally in the state of New York.**Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with focus on trend analysis and documentation of resultsDevelop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issuesContinuous training in the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniquesTeam with Engineering, Project Management and Sales personnel to effectively maintain, optimize and support advanced communication systems which meet or exceed customer expectationsDevelop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issuesOptimize and support complex communication systems and software applications, including advanced troubleshooting of software driven electronics, provisioning of communication system infrastructure and performance optimization of RF and Broadband systems.  Maintain, optimize, test and document complex communications systems.Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishmentsDeliver knowledge of R.F. systems, such as transmitters, receivers, and antenna networksDeliver knowledge in standard telephony and dedicated data circuits, and packet switching techniques Specific Knowledge/Skills:2 year Associate Degree in Electronics or IT (preferred), or equivalent on-the-job experienceSecurity +, CompTIA or related certificate is highly desirableProficient in computer network installation, configuration and maintenance systems to include cabling, routers, switches, firewalls and bridges. Knowledge of wired communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide...
