Inventory Operations Analyst
The Inventory Operations Analyst partners with the Inventory Operations Manager to strengthen inventory governance, improve inventory accuracy, and support standardized inventory management practices across all markets. This role combines advanced data analysis with hands-on operational support, helping transform inventory data into actionable insights while driving process improvements throughout the Supply Chain organization.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical capabilities, enjoys solving operational problems through data, and is comfortable collaborating with warehouse, purchasing, accounting, and operations teams to implement sustainable inventory management solutions. This role regularly supports physical inventories, warehouse audits, inventory optimization initiatives, and reporting that enables informed business decisions.
What You Do
Inventory Analytics & Operational Insights
Develop and maintain inventory dashboards, KPI scorecards, and executive reporting using Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
Analyze inventory performance, consumption trends, replenishment health, inventory turns, shrinkage, stockouts, and obsolete inventory to identify opportunities for improvement.
Build and maintain exception reporting that proactively identifies inventory discrepancies, process failures, and operational risks.
Partner with the Inventory Operations Manager to develop reporting that drives accountability and supports executive decision-making.
Inventory Operations & Governance
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of inventory management standards, controls, and governance across all markets.
Monitor inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, adjustments, warranty returns, and inventory movements to ensure data integrity within ServiceTitan.
Identify process gaps and recommend operational improvements that strengthen inventory accuracy and consistency.
Assist in developing and maintaining inventory policies, SOPs, work instructions, and standardized warehouse procedures.
Inventory Optimization & Replenishment
Analyze inventory usage, replenishment effectiveness, and stock template performance to optimize inventory investment while maintaining product availability.
Partner with the Assistant Manager of Purchasing to validate replenishment data, monitor inventory health, and identify opportunities to improve purchasing decisions.
Evaluate inventory aging, excess inventory, and slow-moving products while providing recommendations to improve inventory turns and reduce carrying costs.
Support demand planning initiatives by identifying trends and forecasting inventory requirements.
Audits & Inventory Control
Coordinate and support cycle counts and physical inventories across all warehouse locations.
Perform variance analysis, investigate inventory discrepancies, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
Support warehouse audits, inventory reviews, and operational assessments through data preparation, reporting, and field participation.
Assist market leadership in improving inventory accuracy through coaching, reporting, and process recommendations.
Travel to warehouse locations (up to 25%) to support audits, inventory projects, and operational initiatives.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Partner with Accounting to support inventory valuation reconciliation and financial accuracy.
Maintain a dotted-line partnership with FP&A, providing inventory analytics, forecasting support, and KPI reporting for budgeting and executive decision-making.
Collaborate with Purchasing and Warehouse Operations to improve inventory processes and controls.
Support continuous improvement through reporting enhancements, automation, and standardized inventory management practices.
What You Bring
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Operations, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
3–5 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution.
Experience supporting multi-location operations, physical inventories, or warehouse audits preferred.
Technical Skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, advanced formulas).
Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
Experience with ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems (ServiceTitan preferred).
Professional Skills
Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including replenishment, cycle counting, inventory controls, and inventory accuracy.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to translate data into actionable operational recommendations.
Effective communicator with experience collaborating across operations, purchasing, warehouse, accounting, and finance teams.
