The Category Lead drives sourcing strategies across multiple commodities, ensuring alignment with broader category objectives and regional business needs. This role serves as the regional procurement lead, utilizing market intelligence, cost analysis, and negotiation strategies to optimize supplier performance and value. The position supports and leads contract negotiations, develops effective market intelligence channels, and builds strong supplier partnerships focused on total cost ownership, supply chain excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Professional Services with a focus on Consulting Services, Travel and Expense, Tax Services, and Cardholder Services.  This role will serve as the procurement lead for the Americas region and will have some global category responsibilities as well.

  • Lead supplier relationship management initiatives focused on total cost of ownership, supply chain optimization, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Leverage market intelligence and industry insights to support sourcing decisions and identify strategic opportunities.

  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships to align procurement objectives with business priorities.

  • Apply strategic sourcing methodologies and procurement tools while providing informal leadership, collaboration, and guidance across the Category team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related operational function, with strategic sourcing experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of procurement processes, strategic sourcing principles, and manufacturing operations; experience in a related industry and international exposure preferred.

  • Strong financial, statistical analysis, and mathematical modeling capabilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and other database tools.

  • Self-directed team player with strong organizational, influence, and communication skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment; foreign language skills are a plus.
