Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Systems Modeling / Simulation & Analysis Engineer (MS&A). This position is located in Huntsville, Alabama or Roy, Utah. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. The ideal candidate is a team player; but also, a strong independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach. Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: * Lead development and integration of physics-based predictive models and simulation frameworks for cruise-missile accuracy performance * Conduct maturation, validation, and verification of accuracy error models using ground- and flight-test data * Perform post-flight estimation and analysis of missile accuracy, producing technical reports and executive-level presentations * Interface with external partner teams to ensure timely delivery of analysis data required for CDRLs and support the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) * Develop and trace requirements for modeling, simulation, and analysis tools; manage change-request and Engineering Review Board (ERB) processes * Provide Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and schedule variance analysis for MS&A activities * Mentor and coordinate a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing * Implement agile development practices using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) to manage tasks and deliverables * Establish and maintain a secure laboratory environment for classified work, ensuring compliance with DoD security requirements * Advise senior leadership and customers on mission-effectiveness trade-studies and recommend alternative architecture solutions Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 12 years of related experience; 10 years of experience with a Master of Science degree; 8 year experience with a PhD * Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its...
