EHS&S Specialist I with WEM Certificate, Water Sampling Training or similar (Davao Based)Full-timeJob DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities:Assigned to conduct sampling, measurement, and monitoring as defined in the Matrix of Sampling Techniques and Analyses. He/she is also responsible for reporting field monitoring data according to the Quality Management System policies and procedures.Specific Responsibilities:Assists the EHS&S Specialist II in sampling, measurements, and monitoring as defined in the Matrix of Sampling Techniques, and in accordance with SGS Policies and Procedures, and Safety Policies.Prepares field reporting files related to the performed sampling, measurement, and monitoring.Operates and maintains equipment for sampling, measurements, and monitoring.Oversees outsourced servicesPerforms other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goals or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.- Complies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting objectives including, but not limited to: Demonstrates strong obligation to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures, and work instructions by actively participating in meetings, projects, and events, completes required training, intervenes in unsafe situations, refuses unsafe work, and complies fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSEE.Perform appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace.Disposes or directs the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements, and in accordance with SGS Environmental Management System requirements.Reports all incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirementsEfficiently uses all equipment, including safety equipment, and company owned property in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to immediate superiorMaintains a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization’s 5S program and guidelinesMaintains awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and proposes action plans to control the risks to immediate superior or QHSEE CoordinatorsActively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS managementFulfills the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management SystemRecognizes the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization’s compliance obligations.QualificationsEducation: Graduate of any Engineering Course and or graduate of any technical course with 2 years of relevant experience.Additional InformationExperience/Technical KnowledgeDENR and/or WEM/IH training is a plusProficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Must have good level of analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and communication skillsAbility to work on one’s own and as part of a team with other membersDemonstrate keen attention to detailsLanguageFluent in English (both written and oral)By clicking the link above or any third-party link within this posting, you are leaving this site and going to a third-party website where the third-party website's terms and privacy policy applyI'm interestedI'm interestedPrivacy NoticeI'm interestedRefer a friendshare this jobShare to WeChat×Copy the link and open WeChat to share.Copy to clipboardOpen WeChatShare to WeChat×Use Scan QR Code in WeChat and click ··· to share.
