JOB TITLE: Job CoachWAGE/HOUR STATUS: NonexemptPAY GRADE: ParaprofessionalREPORTS TO: Director of Special EducationDUTY DAYS: 187 daysDEPARTMENT: Special EducationDATE REVISED: June 2020A Letter of Assurance will be issued for this position.Primary PurposeCollaborates with businesses, transition specialist and teachers to assist students with employabilityskills by providing on-the-job training and developing employment skills to students working in the community. Responsible for maintaining student records on job performance and analyzing job duties.QualificationsMinimum Education:Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate High School Diploma or GEDA valid Texas Driver License and reliable transportationSpecial Knowledge/SkillsAbility to work well with studentsAbility to use/learn basic computer applicationsEffective communication and interpersonal skills with business personnel, teachers, district staff, and students both orally and writtenAbility to collaborate in the best interest of studentsAbility to develop employment skills for students with various disabilitiesMinimum ExperienceMinimum 2 years experience as an instructional paraprofessional-PreferredMajor Responsibilities And DutiesAssist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed to maintain an environment in which students are motivated to perform well and are held accountable for completing their job tasks dailyAssist in the completion of daily progress notes and chart progress for each task accomplished by students in their working environmentAssist in inventory, care, and maintenance of vocational equipment as assignedAssist in preparing materials/displays for instruction, and coordinate job development activities with Transition Specialist(s)Participate in staff...
