Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an IT Sr. Network Engineer, you will be a central figure responsible for the advanced design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise-level network infrastructure, ensuring its high availability, security, and performance. Every day, you will leverage your deep networking expertise to architect, configure, and troubleshoot complex network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers), manage network security protocols, and develop robust solutions for network performance and reliability. To be successful in this role, you will combine extensive experience in enterprise networking, advanced proficiency in network protocols, security principles, and industry-standard network hardware and software.
- Create, implement, and support several IT portfolios which accelerate the transformation of Technology Services as a key enabler to Client’s growth strategy and fulfillment of CommonSpirit Health’s mission.
- Act as the Client’s Technology Services champion with internal and external stakeholders regarding security, compliance, feature and product roadmaps, remediation, and service level agreements.
- Mentor and coach other network associates to build skills and readiness in technology, portfolio, and platform responsibilities.
- Lead and participate in focused proof-of-concept activities for technology assessments, communicate findings, develop portfolio roadmaps, investment prioritization, and successful implementation and adoption.
- Be known as the subject matter expert for their portfolios and actively collaborate with other Solution Architects on IT standards, innovation and integration opportunities to enable new value chains and business efficiencies.
- Drive adherence to IT strategy and IT standards in design processes for 3rd party services, products acquired, internal services, integrated hosted solutions, and hardware/software vendors.

Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelors of Arts in Computer Science, Technology, or software engineering, hardware engineering, Business discipline or equivalent experience
- Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Technology, or software engineering, hardware engineering, Business discipline or equivalent experience
- 7 years of professional experience in an IT technical or infrastructure field
- 7+ years’ Engineering/Architecture Design experience with Cisco Networking technologies, including Route/Switch, Wireless, Nexus, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco DNAC, Cisco ISE
- Experience with multi-vendor management
Preferred
- One or more years of experience in the healthcare or medical industry
