Time and Attendance Specialist

As a Time and Attendance Payroll Specialist here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee time and attendance data, as well as resolving any discrepancies as needed. The scope of this role covers United States time and attendance.  

This role reports directly to the U.S. Payroll Leader and follows a hybrid work schedule in Morris Plains, NJ.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure time and attendance processes comply with U.S. state and local labor laws requirements 
  • Maintain awareness of country-specific rules on working hours, overtime, rest periods, and public holidays
  • Partner with Payroll and HR to ensure accurate pay outcomes based on compliant time data
  • Support audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and external regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate employee time and attendance records
  • Resolve any discrepancies in the time and attendance records
  • Verify employee work hours, overtime, and other time-related information
  • Enter data into our time and attendance system
  • Audit and review time and attendance records to ensure accuracy and timely manager approvals
  • Support the HR team with various tasks and projects as needed
  • Generate reports and analyze data related to employee attendance and time
  • Provide excellent support to employees and managers

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Proficiency with time and attendance systems, preferably ADP Workforce Manager system
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in U.S. time & attendance
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organizational and prioritization skills, and a solution-oriented mindset
  • Proven ability to interpret data, identify discrepancies, and recommend solutions
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential employee information
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and cross-functional stakeholders

 

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience supporting a multi-state U.S. workforce
  • Knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requirements and wage-and-hour regulations
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g. Oracle HCM)

 

COMPENSATION

The annual base range for this position is $72,077-$90,067. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well.
