Job Description

The Software Engineer (C#/SQL) develops, tests, and maintains software applications that support business and technology objectives. This role contributes to the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and production support. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver who enjoys delivering high-quality software solutions using C# and SQL technologies.

The internal job tile for this role is a Software Engineer Consultant II.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, enhance, and maintain applications using C# and .NET technologies.

  • Design, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.

  • Participate in application design discussions and contribute to technical solutions.

  • Collaborate with team members to deliver software solutions that meet business requirements.

  • Debug and resolve application, database, and production support issues.

  • Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and best practices.

  • Participate in daily pair programming sessions to collaborate on software development, share knowledge, and deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

  • Support deployment activities and ongoing application maintenance.

  • Participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of professional software development experience. (Or Equivalent)

  • 1-2 years or more of experience developing applications using C# and .NET technologies. (Or Equivalent)

  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases.

  • Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures.

  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and software development best practices.

  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging software applications.

  • Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile development environment.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience developing or consuming REST APIs.

  • Experience with API integrations and JSON data structures.

  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Experience working with Visual Studio

  • Experience working with Entity Framework

  • Exposure to modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or similar technologies.

  • Knowledge of unit testing and software quality practices.

  • Familiarity with Test Driven Development.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices.

  • Exposure to cloud-based or modern application platforms.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This job does not have supervisory duties.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 70,100.00 - 121,475.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
