Job DescriptionAre you an experienced UAV professional who thrives at the intersection of aviation compliance and field operations? We're looking for a hands-on RPAS Compliance Leader to support our Chief Pilot in maintaining CASA compliance while delivering innovative drone projects and high-quality asset inspection programs across Australia.What you will be doingSupport the Chief Pilot in maintaining CASA compliance and governance across all RPAS operations under our ReOC.Lead compliance and capability projects, including new platform inductions, approvals, and operational improvements.Manage pilot records, currency requirements, and competency activities across the national pilot workforce.Deliver UAV field operations, asset inspections, and condition assessments across a variety of projects and locations.Ensure operational assets are maintained in a safe and airworthy condition and that all required documentation and reporting is completed accurately.Mentor and coach UAV Operators, promoting best practice and a strong safety culture.Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders, providing technical and compliance expertise where required.Lead risk identification, incident response, and quality activities to ensure all operations meet regulatory and business standards.QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will bring:CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) – essentialTertiary qualification in Aviation, Engineering, Aerospace, Robotics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)Demonstrated experience as a senior UAV operator, with broader aviation experience highly regardedStrong knowledge of CASA regulations, CASR Part 101, and operations under a ReOCExperience mentoring or supervising pilots or field-based technical teamsType ratings across multi-rotor and fixed-wing platforms, with BVLOS, controlled airspace, or night operations experience highly regardedFull unrestricted Australian driver's licenceThis is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of UAV operations, work with cutting-edge technology, and contribute to projects that make a real impact across a diverse range of industries.Additional InformationWHY WORK FOR SGS?Working at SGS means joining an innovative, Global company.
