The Director, Value & Access is responsible for defining and executing access strategies that enable adoption of oncology and precision diagnostic solutions, including computational pathology and advanced biomarker-driven tests. This role focuses on translating clinical and economic value into coding, coverage, and reimbursement outcomes that drive measurable patient access and business impact.
This position reports to the Vice President, Value & Access, Diagnostics and Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, and is part of the Chief Innovation Office and will be fully remote or at any Diagnostics office site.
In this role, you will the opportunity to:
- Lead development and execution of Access strategies, including coding, followed by coverage and reimbursement strategy for oncology diagnostics and computational pathology solutions
- Shape payer engagement strategies to secure appropriate medical policy coverage and payment levels, anticipating and mitigating access risks across commercial/private and government payers
- Embed access requirements into innovation, launch planning, and portfolio strategy
- Contribute to the development of global Access strategies, ensuring alignment across key geographies (U.S., Europe, Asia, LATAM)
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams across Product Development, Medical and Scientific Affairs, Regulatory, and Commercial
- Serve as the Value & Access voice in the development, launch, and go-to-market decisions across Danaher Oncology portfolio operating companies
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MPH, PhD, PharmD)
- 10+ years of experience in Access, reimbursement, payer engagement, HEOR, or related roles in diagnostics, medical devices, or oncology
- Experience in oncology, including precision medicine, biomarkers, or computational pathology / AI-enabled diagnostics
- Experience supporting or contributing to global Access strategies across multiple geographies
- Proven ability to operate in a matrixed, cross-functional environment and influence senior stakeholders
Travel
- Domestic and international travel is required (approximately 30-40%)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Supporting diagnostics product launches
- Exposure to evidence generation and health economic concepts
- Familiarity with data-driven performance management and continuous improvement frameworks

The annual salary range for this role is $160,000 - $220,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
