The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for Technical Leader to join our high performing Transport team. We are currently delivering a range significant transport infrastructure projects across Australia.
This includes designs and services for Alliances and Panel works including the North Western Program Alliance, MTM Panel Works, More Trains More Service – Transport for Tomorrow Alliance (Long term Alliance) and PTA panel work.
We are also well positioned for further opportunities across national metropolitan and regional rail networks to deliver greenfield route design, duplications, Metros, yards & depots, brownfield rail upgrades and transit space studies, special trackwork designs, track structure advice & analysis and earthworks and track drainage design.
The Technical Leader – Track is the senior technical authority for Track Engineering within the KBR Rail business and NWPA rail team. Initially focused on the North Western Program Alliance (NWPA), the position will support the NWPA Rail Lead and team broadly in providing project delivery experience, technical leadership, independent verification, mentoring and capability development, innovation & emerging practices, and strategic guidance across upcoming NWPA projects. As KBR's rail business continues to grow in other states, this role has the capacity to evolve into a broader national technical leadership position, providing strategic technical direction across the wider Rail portfolio
Who are you?
In this role you will act as a senior technical resource embedded within nominated rail projects, providing day-to-day guidance and support to project teams.
Apply extensive rail engineering knowledge to support project planning, design development, construction staging and operational integration activities. Provide technical oversight and input into complex engineering decisions, risks and project challenges.
Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure established NWPA processes, systems, standards and delivery frameworks are effectively applied.
Identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement and emerging industry practices that can enhance project outcomes, productivity and engineering quality
