As a Senior Datacenter Program Manager - Build Metro, you will help deliver the core infrastructure behind Microsoft’s online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Azure. With a focus on environmental sustainability, we continue to grow and evolve to meet changing business demands, maintaining Microsoft’s position as a world-class cloud provider.The Senior Datacenter Program Manager - Build Metro leads the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of complex datacenter construction projects ranging from $250,000 to $100 million. This role requires interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills, with expertise in datacenter operations and construction. Responsibilities include managing cross-functional teams and vendors, ensuring safety, quality, and cost-efficiency, and aligning execution with Microsoft’s data center development strategy. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.ResponsibilitiesEstablish working relationships with all construction stakeholdersAttend all Metro new build, expansion and retrofit project related design, construction, and commissioning meetingsServe as the liaison between Construction and Operations and escalate any issues that could cause impactParticipate in all Construction/Operations walk-throughs, as well as routine construction inspections during the buildsCoordinate and execute turnover operations, ensure turnover checklist is completed and validated, and all turnover artifacts are delivered on timeDocument and report lessons learned from each projectMonitor services and KPIs, OKRs, SLAs, and OLAs and reports trends and service anomaliesLead key processes, such as team and triage meetings, prioritize work across the team, and rebalance priorities to respond to changesStandardize infrastructure equipment, processes, and workflows through design, construction, and turnover of these world-class facilitiesAssist with new facility design & commissioning, coordinating installation of core network infrastructurePromote a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspect of datacenter activitiesLearn, live, and coach the One Microsoft culture and valuesLead through change by bringing clarity, generating energy, and delivering successQualificationsRequired Qualifications:High School Qualification or equivalent AND 6+ years experience supporting IT equipment or related technology or delivering server and network deployment projects in large-scale environments OR equivalent experienceOther Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government...
