Job Summary

As an Account Manager on our Commercial team, you will own a portfolio of Financial Services clients and serve as the primary day-to-day relationship lead for their affiliate marketing programs. You will partner with clients to develop and execute strategy, translate performance data into clear recommendations, and coordinate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality outcomes. This role requires strong stakeholder management, analytical rigor, and the ability to drive program growth in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own client relationships for an assigned portfolio, including stakeholder management, meeting cadence, and day-to-day communications.
  • Develop and execute affiliate program strategies and quarterly action plans aligned to client goals (growth, efficiency, product priorities, and compliance constraints).
  • Deliver performance reporting and business reviews, clearly communicating results, insights, and next steps.
  • Identify optimization opportunities across publishers/placements, partner with internal teams to implement.
  • Coordinate with Analytics, Compliance, Product, Marketing, and Client Services to ensure timely delivery, risk mitigation, and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain deep expertise in our offering and adopt AI processes to enhance your client support.
  • Surface expansion opportunities and collaborate with Leadership on renewals/upsells.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of client-facing account management experience in affiliate marketing and/or digital marketing; Financial Services experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to diagnose performance and recommend actions (advanced Excel; proficiency in PowerPoint; AI capabilities a plus).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready storytelling and presentation delivery.
  • Highly organized; able to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Familiarity with affiliate platforms and tracking concepts (attribution, tagging, reporting, publisher management).

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base compensation for this role to be within the range shown below. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
