As a Qualcomm GPU Engineer, you may architect, design, implement, verify, and/or optimize the performance and power of GPU cores. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer needs. The Power Implementation Engineer will work in QUALCOMMs Adreno GPU team and will be responsible for all aspects of power estimation/implementation/verification/minimization and associated methodology/flow development. The focus will be on delivering best in class GPU cores that are optimized for performance, power and area. The selected candidate will have responsibilities in one or more of the following areas: * Technology exploration * Power Analysis and Estimation * Analyzing performance and power on use cases * RTL and Synthesis based Power Optimization * Thermal Analysis and Optimization * Performance Power and Area modeling and optimization * SOC Design implementation /methodology * Semi-custom design flow and methodology Minimum Skills Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with a strong understanding of ASIC design methodology on latest process technology and a willingness to learn and solve challenging problems Preferred Skills: • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. • 4+ years of relevant GPU experience. • 2+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director and above). • Knowledge of Performance & Power Modeling , • Power Analysis Flows like Power Artist and PrimetimePX , • Knowledge of Power Minimization techniques like clock gating, power gating, multi VT design • Experience in Power Intent design and verification of isolation, level shifters and retention, • Familiarity with System Verilog RTL and simulation • Familiarity with scripting on Linux, TCL and Perl/Python • Familiarity with Synthesis, Static Timing Analysis and Formal Verification • Detail oriented with strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. OR PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
