We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced individuals to fill the Puchasing Coordinator role at our food manufacturing facility located at 90 Stemmers Lane, Westampton, NJ 08060. The Purchasing Coordinators primary responsibility is to work closely with vendors to source high-quality ingredients, packaging, and operational supplies that align with our production schedules and quality standards. This role supports our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Business-to-Business (B2B) operations by aligning with the Planning, Inventory, Warehouse, Quality and Operations teams to meet customer demands.
What will you be doing
Work closely with the Procurement Manager to execute purchasing strategies across both NJ and CA locations.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality, pricing, and delivery terms.
Place and manage purchase orders in accordance with production schedules, inventory levels, and forecasted needs.
Monitor and track open orders, ensuring timely delivery and proactively resolving supply delays or quality issues.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other procurement activities in the ERP system.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and internal stakeholders across departments.
Collaborate with operations, R&D, and quality assurance teams to ensure purchased products meet required specifications and food safety standards.
Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and support supplier consolidation and evaluation initiatives.
Stay up to date on market trends, pricing changes, and new product availability in the food manufacturing supply chain.
Support bi-coastal coordination of raw materials and packaging between NJ and CA locations to optimize inventory and reduce waste.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and relevant food safety and regulatory requirements.
Must follow Batchline Solutions policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to travel 20–30% as business needs require.
Regular travel between East and West Coast manufacturing facilities to support procurement activities, supplier management, production needs, and cross-functional projects.
Occasional travel to supplier locations, industry trade shows, and business meetings.
Ability to work in-person from either locations is required
QualificationsWhat will you be doing:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or equivalent work experience..
3+ years of experience in food labeling compliance and regulatory affairs within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong working knowledge of FDA and USDA food labeling regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
