## What you’ll do:
Position Overview:
The Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical and electromechanical systems on manufacturing equipment to support safe and reliable operations. This role performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses equipment issues, and completes repairs on de-energized equipment in accordance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. The Maintenance Electrician partners with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
In this position you will:
• Utilize electrical test equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, and continuity testers to diagnose equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and electromechanical issues on assembly and manufacturing equipment.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals to identify faults and complete repairs.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment to improve reliability and reduce unplanned failures.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and equipment history within the maintenance management system.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components, wiring, sensors, motors, relays, switches, and control devices on equipment that has been properly de-energized and locked out.
• Replace, install, and verify electrical components on de-energized equipment in strict accordance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Support equipment restart activities following maintenance and verify proper operation after repairs are completed.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment by identifying sensor, wiring, and electrical input/output issues and partnering with controls personnel as needed (PLC programming not required).
• Perform all electrical troubleshooting, inspection, testing, and repair activities on equipment that has been de-energized and secured through established Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures; live electrical work is not performed as part of this role.
## Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Associates degree with a technical focus and 5 years of related experience in a specific industry; or 7 years of experience in a specific industry
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience performing electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on industrial electrical systems, including motors, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and equipment operating up to 480V
• At least 4 years experience in predictive technologies/maintenance servicing
• Experience applying predictive maintenance technologies to identify and correct equipment deficiencies before failure, contributing to reduced downtime, lower maintenance costs, and improved operational efficiency
