What You’ll Get To Do: The ideal candidate is a team player; but also, a strong independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach. Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: * Lead Design, development, and testing of radio-frequency (RF) system architecture, components, circuits, or products – including antenna design, frequency synthesizers, transmitters, and receivers. * Coordinate with supplier(s) to drive system performance. * Lead evaluation of product performance against requirements. * Perform pre-test predictions using analytical models. * Conduct RF CCA (components, circuits, and assemblies) analysis. * Lead structured trade studies and multidisciplinary analyses (e.g., FEM, thermal, shock) to evaluate alternative solutions, mitigate technical risk, and capture innovation opportunities. * Formulate and present design change proposals; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders; maintain configuration management and baseline control. * Identify, assess, and implement risk-mitigation strategies for design and integration issues, driving corrective actions and opportunity capture. * Serve as senior liaison with program management, customers, and external partners, representing the organization on advanced technical matters and advising senior leadership. * Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to senior and junior engineers across hardware and systems disciplines. * Oversee prototype fabrication, assembly, verification, and qualification testing, including environmental and electromagnetic testing of hardware. * Drive adoption of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices and tools (e.g., DOORS, Cameo EA) to support system architecture and requirements traceability. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of experience, or 10 years of experience with a Master's degree; 6 years of experience with PHD * Required for Both Levels: * Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years. * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. * Demonstrated experience performing advanced CAD modeling and analysis using Siemens NX (or equivalent) on aerospace and defense hardware projects. * Experience with systems engineering tools such as CAMEO/DOORS and applying MBSE practices to complex weapon-system development. * Hands-on...
