Supervisor Flight Control oversees the Flight Control team in daily processes, team development, and schedules. The individual must have strong relationships within the Operations Control Center with the goal of providing outstanding and efficient solutions to incoming trip demand from customers while ensuring compliance with FAR 135 and 91k regulations and company operating procedures. The individual has a strong ability to train departmental manuals and procedures. This position will require you to work in the office located in Overland Park, KS. This is not a hybrid or remote role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Perform all duties and responsibilities of a Flight Control Specialist while on duty
Aid the OCC Training Manager and Flight Control Manager in initial and recurrent training for all team members
Perform shift training for all new hires
Lead day-of operations in the Flight Control department as directed by the Manager on Duty
Upkeep departmental resource needs that include, but are not limited to FuelerLinx, UV-Go, FlightAware, etc.
Maintain the Flight Control team staff schedule and bidding process
Review/approve all Paid Time Off and schedule changes in a timely manner
Must be highly knowledgeable of the Airshare Flight Control Operations Manual, Flight Operations Manual, FAA and International Regulations, Company Operations Specifications, Company Policies and Procedures, and other pertinent information relating to duties
Perform other duties and assignments, as requested by the Flight Control Manager or other Management Staff
QualificationsQualified candidates will have strong scheduling and analytical skills. Your schedule may fall on nights, weekends, and holidays, and you must be able to work it as this is a 24/7/365 operation.
You must have at least one year of experience in a Flight Control Specialist role or a Supervisory role
Obtain skills in communicating clearly and effectively with people at all levels, both oral and written
Must be a highly organized individual with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and prioritization
Have the ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality
Be able to demonstrate initiative with minimal supervision
Preferred qualifications:
4-year college degree
Prior business/executive aircraft scheduling experience
Understanding of FAA Part 135, 91, and 91K regulations
