Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology and media location. Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate observations with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, production areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual activity and facility concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor and contractor entry in accordance with location requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting the appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations through clear, accurate reports and promptly communicate concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated client representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
