About the Role

The Data Ops team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise-scale data platforms, automation frameworks, and data engineering solutions that enable reliable, secure, and efficient data operations across the organization. This role will be responsible for developing cloud-native solutions, creating scalable data pipelines, improving platform reliability, automating operational processes, and driving adoption of modern engineering practices using technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Databricks, GitHub Copilot, and Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications, APIs, services, and automation solutions supporting Data Ops platforms.
  • Build reusable frameworks and components that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows.
  • Design and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and support enterprise data operations.
  • Develop solutions using Microsoft Fabric including Lakehouse, Data Factory, Warehouses, Real-Time Analytics, and Semantic Models.
  • Leverage GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot to improve developer productivity and accelerate delivery.
  • Participate in production support, root cause analysis, monitoring, and platform reliability initiatives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural and technical roadmap discussions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms and operational systems.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Technical Skills

  • Programming: C#, .NET, Python, SQL, REST APIs
  • Cloud & Data Platforms: Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Databricks, Data Lake technologies
  • DevOps & Automation: Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD Pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, Monitoring & Observability
  • Data Engineering: ETL/ELT Design, Data Modeling, Data Pipeline Development, Data Quality Frameworks, Performance Optimization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot.
  • Experience designing DataOps or Platform Engineering solutions.
  • Azure, Fabric, Databricks, or related cloud certifications.

Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.

Pay Range

$101,200.00 - $161,900.00/Yr.
