Medical Assistant | Primary Care | Day Shift | Full-time

Overview

The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the physician and in cooperation with the other office staff in assisting with safe and effective patient care in compliance with established standards and protocols of the practice and UF Health Central Florida goals and objectives.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Post High School Special Training required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Must have 1 year of experience working in a physician office.
• Experience working with practice management systems.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required or must be obtained within the first month of employment. Must maintain current Basic Life Support (CPR).
