Sr Materials Mgmt Manager
As a Senior Materials Management Manager here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the success of the materials management process and team. Your primary objectives will include optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support our production schedules and provide exceptional experience to our customers. You will use your leadership and management skills, deep understanding of inventory management systems and a strategic approach to sourcing and procurement. This role will report directly to our Sr Director Materials management on Americas.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement materials management strategies aligned with organizational goals and operational requirements.
- Lead the Supply during SIOP process to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Establish long-term supply chain and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on inventory reduction, working capital management, and service level improvement.
- Identify and mitigate material supply risks that may impact operations.
Materials Planning & Inventory Management
- Oversee demand planning, production planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and replenishment activities.
- Ensure adequate inventory levels to support manufacturing and customer fulfillment requirements.
- Establish inventory targets, safety stock parameters, and inventory control policies.
- Analyze inventory trends, excess and obsolete inventory, and develop corrective action plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Procurement, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Engineering teams.
- Coordinate material availability for new product launches and engineering changes.
Financial & Performance Management
- Manage inventory investments and working capital objectives.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including:
- Inventory Turns/ Days of supply
- Service Level Performance
- Material Availability
- On-Time Delivery
- Excess & Obsolete Inventory
- Schedule attainment
- Earned hours
- Drive accountability and corrective actions to achieve performance targets.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop managers, planners.
- Build a high-performing culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and customer service.
- Establish employee development plans and succession strategies.
- Promote a safe and compliant work environment.
Systems & Compliance
- Ensure effective utilization of ERP/MRP systems and planning tools(SAP, Kinaxis RR).
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
- Implement process improvements through automation and digital supply chain initiatives and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, MBA, or related field.
- APICS/ASCM certifications such as:
- CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management)
- CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience leading multi-site Materials Management operations.
- Experience in SAP/RR
