Job Summary

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the Cyclotron system design, integration, verification, installation, and lifecycle support of cyclotron-based medical imaging and radiopharmaceutical production systems. This role serves as a technical leader across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring system performance, reliability, safety, regulatory compliance, and serviceability throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the system-level design and architecture of cyclotron subsystems, translating product requirements into technical specifications.
* Perform system integration, verification, and validation activities, including test plan development and execution.
* Conduct root cause analysis of complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, clinical, and regulatory departments.
* Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and risk assessments.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
* Stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends in medical imaging and system engineering.
* Ensure compliance with relevant medical device regulations (e.g., FDA, CE) and quality management systems.
 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related technical discipline.  Experience with cyclotrons, particle accelerators, medical imaging systems, radiopharmaceutical production equipment, or other high-energy physics systems is highly preferred.

  • Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, including significant experience in complex system development.

  • Experience with systems engineering methodologies and product lifecycle management.

  • Experience of leading technical investigations and root cause analysis.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Project leadership, demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
