Workspace One/SCCM/Intune Principal Engineer – Enterprise Endpoint Management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Architecture & Technical Authority
- Platform Administration: Design, deploy, and maintain the Workspace ONE architecture (UEM, Access, Intelligence)
- Automation & Scripting: Reduce manual IT efforts by utilizing PowerShell, REST APIs, or Workspace ONE Intelligence for automated workflows and software distribution
- Define and govern NTT DATA India EPM's Workspace One/SCCM/Intune architectural standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.
- Access & Identity: Integrate the platform with identity providers like Azure AD, Okta, or Active Directory for seamless single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Lead architectural design for complex, multi-tenant, and global endpoint management environments (50,000+ endpoints) from India.
- Provide expert-level guidance across the Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 endpoint ecosystem.
- Troubleshooting: Act as the escalation point (L2/L3) for enrollment, certificate, network (Tunnel/SEG), and application deployment issues
- Security & Compliance: Enforce security baselines, data encryption, compliance policies, and conditional access to protect corporate data
- Evaluate and position emerging technologies — Microsoft Intune Suite, Advanced Endpoint Analytics, AI-driven endpoint management — for client and practice adoption.
- Serve as the final technical escalation authority for critical incidents, complex architecture decisions, and platform crisis management in India.
Enterprise Program Leadership
- Lead strategic EPM transformation programs — SCCM-to-Intune migrations, Windows 11 global rollouts, and zero-trust endpoint adoption for large enterprise clients.
- Own delivery governance for marquee global accounts managed from India — executive steering, contractual performance, and risk management.
- Define and oversee enterprise patch management governance frameworks for compliance-critical environments (ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOX, PCI-DSS).
- Architect enterprise-scale Windows Autopilot and Modern Provisioning frameworks for global device refresh programs.
- Lead endpoint security posture improvement programs integrating Defender for Endpoint, Intune, and SIEM platforms.
- Perform account transition and take it to steady state.
- During the transition, work on current mode of operation, identified the gap/risk/issue.
- Should have strong documentation skill.
Innovation & Practice Development
- Drive EPM practice innovation from India — developing reusable IP, automation frameworks, accelerators, and differentiated service offerings.
- Lead development of NTT DATA India EPM tooling portfolio including reporting platforms, compliance automation, and managed service playbooks.
- Publish technical thought leadership content — white papers, reference architectures, and best practice frameworks for internal and client use.
- Represent NTT DATA India EPM capabilities at client briefings, Microsoft partner forums, and India technology events.
- Define and evolve the India EPM Job Description library, competency frameworks, and technical interview standards.
Mentorship & Capability Building
- Serve as technical mentor and coach for Grade 8–10 engineers across NTT DATA India EPM accounts.
- Lead EPM capability building programs — technical training, certification pathways, and skills assessment frameworks.
- Define engineering excellence standards, peer review processes, and quality assurance frameworks for India EPM deliverables.
- Partner with NTT DATA India talent acquisition and campus programs to build the EPM talent pipeline.
Business Development & Client Advisory
- Contribute to EPM business development — supporting RFP responses, solution design, and client presentations from India.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with client IT Directors, delivery heads, and endpoint management leadership.
- Identify upsell and expansion opportunities within existing EPM accounts through solution advisory and innovation workshops.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- ITSM Tool: BMC Helix
- Workspace One/Microsoft SCCM/ConfigMgr — expert-level architecture, operations, and large-scale global delivery (15,000+ endpoints)
- Workspace One & Microsoft Intune — tenant architecture, advanced MDM/MAM, Autopilot at scale, co-management mastery
- Modern endpoint security — Defender for Endpoint, Zero Trust endpoint model, Conditional Access architecture
- Microsoft 365 + Entra ID ecosystem — holistic endpoint lifecycle within Microsoft cloud environment
- PowerShell + Graph API — enterprise-grade automation, platform tooling, and operational frameworks
- Power BI + SQL — executive-level endpoint analytics, compliance dashboards, and management reporting
- Enterprise program management — large-scale global delivery governance, executive communication, risk management
- Strong stakeholder management — onshore/offshore delivery model, global client advisory, cross-cultural communication
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator (MD-102) — mandatory
- VCP-DW / Omnissa Digital Workspace certifications — mandatory
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Cybersecurity Architect Expert
- Microsoft MVP or industry-recognised contribution in endpoint management domain
- Experience with AirWatch, Tanium, or BigFix, PatcMyPC as complementary platforms
- Prior India-based principal or practice lead experience in a global IT services organisation (TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, NTT DATA, Cognizant, or equivalent)
MINIMUM EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech/MCA) from a recognised Indian university. Post-graduate qualification (M.Tech/MBA/MS) preferred. Relevant Microsoft certifications are expected at this level.
