Job Description


In this role, Tax Professionals, having technical depth in tax compliance and accounting functions. The role will be part of a service delivery team and will require hands-on responsibility for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of reporting activities. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Talent retention and leadership pipeline. 
  • Preparation and Manage team’s execution of journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. 
  • Review and approve financial statements for accuracy. 
  • Ensure compliance with SOX/internal controls and accounting standards. 
  • Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and auditors. 
  • Lead month-end close governance meetings. 
  • Drive automation and standardization initiatives. 
  • Develop team capabilities and succession planning. 
  • SLA/KPI adherence for RTR delivery. 
  • Team engagement and performance. 
  • Successful audits with minimal findings 
  • Journals, Close & Consolidation, Reporting 

 

  • Prepare and process journal entries using approved templates with supporting documentation 
  • Review  journals based on thresholds defined in the Policy and Procedures Manual 
  • Identify any invalid or failed journal entries, escalate to Customer for instruction as necessary 
  • Set up recurring Jes 
  • Prepare and circulate close calendar  
  • Conduct period close and post-close analysis based on materiality thresholds and other guidelines set by Customer 
  • Prepare reports for period close as defined in the month close checklist 
  • Run Forex revaluation and review impact in general ledger 
  • Sub-ledger close in ERP 
  • Year end task 
  • Provide support in preparing financial statement and other filings 
  • Load balances into consolidation tool 
  • Review intercompany imbalances, send out Reports and follow-up to resolve any differences over defined thresholds 
  • Perform consolidations as per Customer Rules, Customer Standards and Strategic Plans 
  • Reconciliation between ERP and consolidation System (e.g.,, One Stream –Input level) 
  • Audit support 

 

 

  • Reconciliation: 
  • Monitor data flow between ERP and reconciliation tool 
  • Perform periodical checks to ensure all bank statements are posted to ERP 
  • Investigate reasons for unposted bank statements and follow up with relevant Customer stakeholders 
  • Identify missing bank transactions and follow up with AP/AR /other departments for allocation 
  • Understand the purpose, nature and activity of the account and perform bank reconciliations as per Customer Standards and the Policy and Procedures Manual guidelines 
  • Research validate Open items and escalate 
  • Ensure supporting documents are maintained for account reconciliation as per retention policy 
  • Monthly review of process performance to track the effectiveness of account reconciliation process and adherence to policy 
  •  
  • E2E Intercompany –  
  • Reconcile and Balance confirmation 
  • Perform settlement 
  • Create and post cross charge journal entries in ERP/miscellaneous rebills via Customer-approved web tool 
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entry for out of balance transactions 
  • Analyse and provide support to Customer on open items and escalations, if any 

 

 

  • Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting 
  • Ensuring monthly checklists are completed without exception and that all trackers are maintained as requested, including those pertaining to withholding tax rates per country 
  • Preparation of periodic and ad hoc reports as requested by management 
  • Following adequate rules, policies, procedures, and instructions 

 

 

Qualifications we seek in you! 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Finance/Accounting. CMA/ CA Inter  
  • Experience in tax compliance, specifically in indirect taxes (VAT) and income taxes, is highly desirable. 
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. 
  • IT skills: ERP (People soft/Workday), MS Office – Preferably Peoplesoft and Workday ERP 
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot, VLOOKUP, Graphs) 
  • Fair communication skills (not below B1/B2) 
  • Minimum 6+  years of relevant work experience including people lead

  • Demonstrates the ability to identify and understand customer needs, take appropriate actions to ensure customer needs are met.
