CBIZ seeks a motivated and qualified individual for the position of Associate Wealth Advisor. The individual selected for this opportunity will be distinguished in academic and professional achievement, dedicated to client service, and have the highest ethical and professional standards of excellence. Associate Wealth Advisors provide a high level and broad range of technical and client management support and assist in managing all aspects of a client relationship including investments, taxation, estate planning, retirement planning, and insurance.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Working closely with a managing wealth advisor leading relationships with individuals, families and higher net worth clients by providing high touch comprehensive wealth management services;
  • Constructing and ultimately overseeing all aspects of managing multiple client relationships, including;
  • Portfolio review and construction
  • Complex analysis and research related to financial, estate, income tax, and investment planning;
  • Developing and presenting solutions across the spectrum of wealth management disciplines for existing and prospective clients;
  • Documenting meetings, recommendations and action plans;
  • Overseeing implementation of agreed upon recommendations;
  • Coordination with other professionals supporting the client’s financial plans (e.g. estate planning, tax preparation, insurance);
  • Ongoing monitoring and management of the client’s wealth management plan;
  • Coordinating and actively participating in client meetings;
  • Further developing an advanced understanding of investments, insurance, taxation, and estate planning, as well as the Company’s approved investment strategies; and
  • Communicating the full range of the Company’s services and capabilities to clients and prospective clients

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 0-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Series 65, equivalent licenses or designations/certifications that permit an individual to act as an Investment Advisor Representative, or obtain the Series 65 within 90-120 days of hiring 
  • Look to pursue one of the following designations once eligible: CPA, PFS, CFP, or CFA
  • An interest in and a desire to develop an understanding of investments and investment philosophy;
  • A desire to obtain an understanding of matters related to income, gift, and estate taxes, employee benefits, insurance, and personal and philanthropic wealth transfer strategies;
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and client-friendly manner; 
  • Analytical expertise, attention to detail, and self-initiated follow-through; and
  • Commitment to serving as a fiduciary for every CBIZ client.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 3 years of experience in related field
  • Achieve professional certifications relative to area of expertise, must have and preserve required licenses
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Presentation skills mandatory
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
