Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Roving Patrol in Columbus, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed security professional at a dynamic manufacturing location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials for individuals and vehicles entering and exiting the location in accordance with site procedures.
- Document patrol findings, incidents, and unusual activity, and promptly report concerns to designated site and Allied Universal personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
