Diploma of college studies (DEC) or secondary school diploma with equivalent experience Certification or specialization in inventory management and logistics is an asset Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in inventory management at a mass-production facility Be able to lift loads weighing up to 50 lb (22.5 kg) Have a good understanding of data entry (receiving, shipping, site transfers, etc.) into an MRP system Possess strong customer service, collaboration and teamwork skills Demonstrate strong organizational skills, initiative, professionalism and thoroughness Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, and Word) Experience with an MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system Knowledge of the SAP MM (Material Management) module is an asset Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written (functional level) Manage the reception and shipment of parts, equipment and tools. Ensure that all procedures related to the tasks are followed. (Visual quality inspection, recording of all documents, identification of discrepancies with the delivery note, confirmation that part numbers match the purchase order, assignment of a location, taking photos, etc.). Contact the selected carriers to arrange pickup of the parts to be sent to suppliers for warranty repairs or returns. Notify coworkers—maintenance planners and supervisors—about received parts that have been set aside and are awaiting delivery. Help oversee and monitor all activities related to the management of inventories of repairable and non-repairable parts, consumables and tools. Any movement of parts must be recorded in the system to ensure inventory accuracy. Inform the maintenance management team of any potential parts shortages by monitoring inventory management functions. (Example: Quantity in the bin is less than the quantity displayed by the system; arrival of an abnormal quantity of broken parts at the warehouse; a part not recorded as used in the system; etc.) Transfer parts from one site to another as needed for maintenance operations or as recommended by the planning department. Prepare and conduct cycle counts of inventory stored in the spare parts storage rooms, the maintenance chemicals storage room and Kanban stations; participate in annual inventory counts. Take part in the analysis, explanation and correction of discrepancies (actual quantity versus system quantity). Execute corrective action plans from a continuous improvement perspective. Record all documents upon receipt (purchase order, delivery receipt, carrier documents, customs paperwork, repair report, etc.). Follow the return procedure for parts still under warranty. Label received parts, ensure that the “location bins” are identified, take photos when necessary, apply labels if the part is valued, etc. Organize, arrange, dust, sort, and categorize the Receiving/Shipping area to improve and streamline all tasks. Follow the 5S approach and other improvement strategies. Perform any other stockroom-related tasks and be available to assist coworkers and cover for them when necessary. Work closely with all stakeholders in other departments (production, workplace health and safety, quality, logistics, etc.) Adhere to and take an active role in the workplace health and safety culture. Follow good manufacturing practices.
