About the Job

As a Technical Project Manager, you will work with our utility clients and internal teams to deploy our groundbreaking cloud software platform. Your main responsibility is to ensure that Opower deployments are delivered on-time and according to client specifications. You will manage complex software-as-a-service (SaaS) implementations by creating comprehensive project plans, managing delivery timelines, and proactively identifying and communicating risks to stakeholders. You will use your technical acumen to facilitate discussions among cross-functional teams to unblock client implementations.

This is a meaningful role for the Opower team as we expand our custom service offerings to our clients and take on more complex implementations tailored to unique client needs. Responsibilities
  • Lead complex implementations of Opower energy engagement products, coordinating data integrations, configuration, testing, launch planning, and post-launch stabilization
  • Proactively identify project risks, negotiate tradeoffs, and communicate implementation impacts to client and internal stakeholders
  • Build strong working relationships with client stakeholders through proactive communication and effective project leadership
  • Navigate ambiguity and drive clarity across multiple teams and evolving client requirements
  • Understand technical components of a SaaS deployment and communicate requirements to both business and technical client audiences
  • Serve as the internal central point of communication around project status, timelines, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Manage project financials, resource planning, and delivery forecasting
  • Ensure project tasks are delivered on time and within scope
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and other internal teams to resolve implementation issues, remove blockers, and drive successful customer launches
  • Define, implement, and improve project management standard methodologies and delivery processes (reduce time to launch)
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • You have 4 – 6 years of strong project management experience, ideally in a rapidly-paced top-tier consulting firm, services, or technology-related environment. Previous start-up and/or SaaS business model experience is ideal along with previous experience in the utility industry.
  • You understand technical concepts related to enterprise SaaS implementations of cloud applications, including application architecture, data relationships and functional system behavior, and you have managed project plans related to complex technology implementations.
  • You love working with clients and feel ownership over the success of each project
  • You are an excellent communicator who can work well with clients and teammates across multiple time zones; you are able to move projects along using conference calls, Zoom, wikis, Generative AI, and other project management tools; strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for this role
  • You know how to build an effective project plan that takes into account technical details, internal and external dependencies, shared resources, and risks.
  • You are comfortable working with different project management technologies and have an eye towards process improvement and efficiency.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $71,200 to $166,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.


Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
