Material Handler I, Backroom, 2nd Shift

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Material Handler I, Backroom, 2nd Shift. The rate for this position is $18.11 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm until 1:00 am. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ## What you’ll do: In the Storeroom Material Handler role, you are responsible for receiving and issuing raw materials, assemblies, sub‑assemblies, tools, and supplies, as well as forwarding all required documentation to computer services for data entry. You also support planners and buyers with material‑availability processes and prepare finished products and raw materials for boxing, packing, and shipping as needed. * Contribute to a safe, engaged, and inclusive work environment by following all safety policies, using required personal protective equipment (PPE), operating equipment safely, and performing 5S responsibilities. * Use material handling equipment, hand tools, forklifts, and gantry-style overhead cranes to unload and load trucks, move materials and gear, maintain material flow, and place inventory in designated storage or work center locations. * Maintain inventory accuracy and material movement records using supply chain tracking systems. * Ensure quality standards through visual inspections, identification of nonconforming materials, troubleshooting errors, and support of root cause analysis and corrective actions.Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance quality, safety, and production efficiency. * Cross-train and provide operational support across job functions as needed. Other duties may be assigned as business needs require. ## Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: * High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required. * No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered.
