Northrop Grumman’s Strategic Deterrent Systems division is seeking an experienced, strategic Manager Subcontracts 3 to join our organization as a Manager 3, Subcontracts in Roy, UT. In this role, you will support multiple programs within the division, each contributing to missions of national importance. You will lead a high-performing team of Subcontracts Administrators, driving excellence in supplier performance, compliance, and program execution across a diverse portfolio.
You will manage a team of approximately six (6) to eight (8) Subcontracts Specialists/Administrators (various levels) responsible for complex, high-dollar subcontracts across multiple suppliers and program efforts. This position combines hands-on leadership, strategic sourcing, and cross-functional integration to ensure cost, schedule, and technical objectives are achieved. This position offers the opportunity to work in our brand-new Roy Innovation Center on a 9/80 schedule, supporting work-life balance while contributing directly to mission-critical national defense programs.

Lead & Develop the Team
* Hire, supervise, mentor, train, retain, and grow a team of Subcontracts Administrators, helping to build the future of our organization.
* Assign and balance workloads to ensure efficient and effective execution across multiple programs.
* Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, inclusion, and mission focus.
* Subcontracts Strategy, Negotiation & Execution
* Direct the solicitation, negotiation, award, and administration of major cost reimbursement, Time & Materials, and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) subcontracts in compliance with internal procedures and FAR/DFARS.
* Develop and execute contracting strategies for complex, high-value subcontracts (including those >$50M) from cradle to grave.
* Lead Supplier Management Teams through negotiations of terms and conditions, cost, schedule, and scope with suppliers, mitigating risk and driving cost efficiency.
Program Integration & Stakeholder Engagement
* Serve as a primary subcontracts point of contact for assigned programs within Strategic Deterrent Systems.
* Partner closely with Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Contracts, and Supply Chain to translate program requirements into executable subcontract strategies.
* Brief executive management and customers on subcontract status, supplier performance, issues, and corrective actions; support and conduct program and supplier reviews.
Compliance & Governance
* Ensure rigorous adherence to company command media, FAR, DFARS, and Defense contracting requirements.
* Maintain audit-ready files and documentation; provide guidance on complex compliance topics (e.g., data rights, EVMS-related requirements, flow-down clauses).
* Participate with Contracts and Supply Chain leadership to refine subcontract procedures, guidelines, and standard work.
