This position will be located located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.What You Will Get To Do:As part of the Sentinel AVE team, your technical expertise and analytical prowess will play a vital role in structural analysis. This position invites a forward-thinking professional who is eager to tackle complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions that advance the future of structural analysis for the Sentinel Program.Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs. Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling. Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Science or STEM with 8 years of experience; or Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or PhD with 4 years of experience.Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with investigation date within 5 years.U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.Strong sense of urgency and work ethic in ensuring engineering meets customer and program expectations in a timely and efficient manner.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment.Strong oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated technical writing experience in both authoring and reviewing formal analysis documentation.Knowledge and/or experience with structural analysis.Experience using CAD software to clean up geometry for analysis.Experience in Finite Element Analysis with Nastran (or equivalent).Experience in performing Bolted Joint Analyses per NASA STD 5020.Experience running static and dynamic structural problems using analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools) .Experience...
