Role Overview

As a sales representative for the Temperature Management Products team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth of the temperature management product portfolio.

You will promote product adoption in the acute care setting and strengthen clinical sales activities to expand market share and ensure continued product utilization. This includes enhancing communication and collaboration with distributor partners.

In addition, you will work closely with other sales teams to contribute to expanding the company’s overall market share in the hospital segment.

The position is based in the HCBG Medical Solutions Division, Sales Department, Fukuoka Branch, and reports directly to the Sales Group Leader.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Temperature Management Sales Rep, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Drive sales strategies and execution plans for temperature management products to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Develops sales strategies for assigned areas and facilities based on product lifecycle maturity stages to protect and grow core product lines against competition.
  • Drive product introduction and continued use activities at GPO facilities.
  • Achieve growth targets for assigned distributors and work with channel teams to execute plans.
  • Collaborate with other sales groups and related departments to contribute to the overall growth of the branch and sales department.

Specific Activities

  • Provide product recommendations and up-to-date medical information to physicians and co-medical staff
  • Conducting study sessions and explaining products (demonstrations) to the customers in charge of the product for their peripheral knowledge and proper use.
  • Target customers include hospital stakeholders such as physicians (primarily anesthesiologists), nurses, clinical engineers, and administrative departments such as materials management.
  • Plan and execute events such as academic congresses, workshops, and seminars within the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with a team of clinical specialists with deep expertise in temperature management to drive product adoption through clinical training and support.
  • Ensure sales activities and the opportunity pipeline are effectively managed, and regularly review pipeline health and sales effectiveness to accelerate revenue growth and improve win rates.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, with a solid foundation in economic principles and business strategy analysis; a master’s degree in a related field is a plus.

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, including at least 3 years of proven sales experience in the medical device industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a proven track record of building trust with diverse stakeholders (e.g., physicians, nurses, clinical engineers, and administrative departments such as materials management and utilities) and achieving sales targets.
  • Demonstrated success in developing mutually beneficial partnerships with distributors.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce (SFDC) for effective sales pipeline management and customer relationship management (CRM).
  • Business-level English proficiency (English is frequently used for internal documentation and business processes).
  • Valid driver’s license.

Work location: Fukuoka, Japan (with potential for future relocation).
