This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.You will have the opportunity to design, develop, and execute test procedures and automated test scripts using spacecraft commands, telemetry, and electrical ground support equipment.  The ideal candidate has system level test experience working with spacecraft flight hardware and good computer skills. Daily responsibilities will require I&T test preparation leading to direct contact with satellite and space flight hardware. In this job, you will:Develop I&T test procedures, specifications, and test limitsExecute I&T testing, monitor tests per specification, troubleshoot, and document all test activitiesUnderstands both electrical circuits and software within the flight hardware and EGSESupports EGSE and flight hardware test/troubleshooting efforts and ability to perform this tasking with little to no oversight from another Electrical EngineerTravel and support different shifts when requiredProvides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assignedHas technical insight and experience to know if test set-up and results make senseAbility to establish and maintain infrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.Coordinates with ITEE team lead, electrical test conductors/technicians, and I&T managers to complete tasking. May participate, prepare, and present material in program review boards (ERBs, TRRs, FRBs, etc.).Other duties as assignedThis position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.This position can be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4.Basic Qualifications for Level 3:Approved STEM Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Approved STEM Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – Approved STEM PhD with 1 year of professional experience.   Requires an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scopeExperience with hardware or software testing and test scriptingTravel and support different shifts when requiredBasic Qualifications for Level 4:Approved STEM Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Approved STEM Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience – OR – Approved STEM PhD with 4 years of professional experience.   Requires an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scopeExperience with hardware or software testing and test scriptingTravel and support different shifts when required Preferred Qualifications:   Experience with proliferated systems testing or production line testing/planningDirect related experience in Integration and testExperience in Electronics troubleshooting and nonconformance documentation and resolution workflowEnvironmental test planning/preparations (Thermal Cycle/Thermal Vacuum chamber testing, EMI testing)Programming or debugging experience with any of the following languages: STOL/JAS, PythonProgramming or debugging experience with any of the following tools: Manufacturo, Odoo, InControl, Jira/Confluence, Git/BitbucketExperience in Aerospace or Defense industry (development or test)Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearanceCurious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector?
