Ocean Spray is looking for a creative, collaborative, detail-oriented and results driven Quality Technician to work with the operations team (night shift) to ensure that all food quality standards are met, with no exceptions, at our Middleboro, MA production facility.Specific Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide quality testing, analysis and review to ensure that production quality and schedule standards are being achieved.Train and support manufacturing personnel in quality systems to maximize product quality.Initiate problem-solving activities relating to quality parameter issuesSupport the continuous training, record keeping and maintenance of the food safety and quality practices within the plant.Act as point of contact and through professional judgment and evaluation, suggest resolution to food safety and quality concerns in the absence of the Quality ManagerSupport and promote food safety and quality program indicatives within the plant environmentCalibrate, troubleshoot, maintain, and operate all lab equipmentFollow all safety policies and procedures, including laboratory safety and chemical handlingPerform QA verification of cleaned equipment, and support/assist with sanitationPerform Positive Release duties and micro testing when requiredPerform FM investigations and product holds when requiredPosition RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in Food Science or related field preferred. 1 - 3 years prior production/manufacturing experience OR 2+ years relevant lab technician experience. Food/beverage industry experience a plus.
