We're looking for an experienced Associate Manager, Clinical Operations to provide leadership, coaching, and operational oversight to a team of clinical professionals while driving quality, performance, and continuous improvement across clinical trials.

Responsibilities:

As an Associate Manager, Clinical Operations, you will:

  • Lead, coach, mentor and develop a team of clinical operations professionals, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.

  • Oversee onboarding, induction, training and ongoing professional development for new and existing team members.

  • Manage team performance through regular coaching, goal setting, performance evaluations and career development planning.

  • Support resource planning and allocation to ensure projects are appropriately staffed and operational goals are achieved.

  • Partner with project and functional leaders to proactively identify and resolve resource, quality and performance issues.

  • Monitor operational metrics, KPIs and project status using clinical systems such as CTMS, Preclarus and Clarity.

  • Conduct performance assessments and monitoring evaluations (remote and on-site where applicable).

  • Identify training needs and contribute to the development and delivery of operational training programs.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and quality.

  • Support audit readiness, quality management activities and responses to internal and external audits.

  • Collaborate with senior clinical operations leadership on strategic initiatives and business objectives.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Previous clinical operations experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or CRO industry.

  • At least 1 year of people leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Demonstrated experience managing teams, coaching employees and driving performance.

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial operations and applicable regulatory requirements.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience with clinical systems including CTMS and related platforms

  • Knowledge of Risk-Based Monitoring (RBM)

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience driving operational excellence and process improvements

  • High attention to quality and compliance

  • Ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams
