At its heart, this is a sophisticated optimisation problem matching green energy consumption and production coupled with financial risk management and mitigation.Help define & shape new product features by working with product and across the organisationContribute and help to improve the ways of working and team cultureOur current tech stackBackend: Python exposing REST APIs, PolarsDatabase: PostgresInfrastructure: Kubernetes on Azure, message queues, blob storage, managed by TerraformPreferred ExperienceWhilst years of experience isn't a great measure, it's likely you will have 3-6 years of professional experience Strong knowledge of a high-level language such as Python, Java or C#. Knowledge of Python is not essential - we seek talented developers with a range of skills along with a willingness and desire to work in Python as a primary languageConfident and safe use of AI to aid development velocityExperience in energy, commodity trading or financial markets, with knowledge of ETRM/CTRMs and front-to-back systems is a strong plusBe passionate about team best practices, culture, welfare, and productivity Be comfortable moving fast whilst maintaining quality, well-tested softwareFluent English speakerGreat interpersonal, communication and organisational skillsExperience in startup and/or remote environments is a strong plusExperience with a relational database such as postgres is a strong plus, with time-series experience even strongerExperience with pandas, polars or other data manipulation libraries a plusAnalytical mindset / mathematical background is a plusWhat we offerTransparent salaries based on seniority/location, see belowRemote first: WFH, in our London office, or your local co-working space.
