And we do so with a sense of mission, purpose, innovation, inclusion, and accountabilityThe Sales Engineering groups have the technology and design responsibility forall sales support engagements within the territory.Job DescriptionThe EPS Engineering Manager will be expected to be a dynamic, influential, and facilitative leader who will lead the Presales Engineering team as we pursue opportunities within the State and Local Government markets. The Presales Engineering Team includes a broad range of Presales Engineers from experienced to new hires and interns. These engineers are supporting RFPs from Customers, proposal requests from Sales for Budgetary Estimates and Firm Fixed, Proof of Concept trials, Engineering Tools development, Spectrum Policy, and are trusted advisors within the State and Local Government market.Responsibilities:Radio Coverage design and analysisPublic safety grade mobile voice and data networksEnd-to-end strategic solution designEquipment list generation for LMR and Ecosystem (e.g., video, software solutions)Descriptions of system designs, including diagramsUnderstanding customer requirementsCalculation of electrical power and networking requirementsParticipation in proposal reviews and contract negotiationsConsultative guidance to customers and sales teamPresentations and/or product demos to customersCoordination with various functional teams (Systems Integration, Service, Sales, Product Groups) to ensure all business unit goals are addressed in our proposals and win strategiesMeet/exceed customer requirements and provide value alternatives when requirements cannot be metManage Motorola Solutions sales, orders, revenue and margin goalsDrive all sole source & RFP (Request for Proposal) projects to completion and managing the schedules of the project team membersWork closely with the Sales Team to deliver customer-driven, world-class, leading-edge, end-to-end solutions that rise to the challenges of first responder, state, county,...
