The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Service is a trusted lifecycle partner, providing customers with secure, sustainable, and innovative service solutions globally. Our Service offerings empower customers & partners to holistically manage the asset lifecycle—from start-of-life (e.g., installation and commissioning) through services designed to strengthen operational life (e.g., Upgrades, repairs, and extensions) to end-of-life activities (e.g., replacement and decommissioning). Designed to adapt to every O&M strategy, services can be procured stand-alone or as part of an EnCompass™ partnership agreement. Additionally, the net-zero transition begins with the Installed Base, and we continue to innovate across our ‘Sustain & Decarbonise’ category, which includes our made-for-sustainability offerings.

As a Senior Service Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving service sales growth in Singapore, developing new business opportunities, expanding our installed base penetration, and fostering strong relationships with end-users, consultants, EPCs, and key industry stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

  • Promote Hitachi Energy’s service solutions in Singapore and drive profitable growth by identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities within the installed base and target market segments.
  • Develop and execute local sales strategies to achieve order intake and margin targets, provide sales forecasting, and contribute market insights to support business growth.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with end users, consultants, EPCs, and key industry stakeholders to expand market presence and generate service sales opportunities.
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of service solutions, transformer products, and lifecycle management offerings to deliver value-driven solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Product Service Centres and internal stakeholders to develop competitive service offerings and support customer requirements.
  • Prepare high-quality proposals and quotations, lead customer presentations and commercial discussions, and support bid/no-bid and risk review processes.
  • Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity in all interactions and activities.

Your background

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of sales, business development, or service sales experience within the power, energy, electrical equipment, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of transformer products, power systems, electrical infrastructure, or related service offerings. Experience with transformer products is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record in new business development and customer engagement within the Singapore market.
  • Established relationships with end users, consultants, EPCs, utilities, data centre operators, or industrial customers will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills with a high level of English proficiency.
