Our Aeronautics Systems sector is currently seeking a Composite Bonder level 2 to join our operations team, located in El Segundo, CA, working on a variety of bonds of dissimilar materials (composite, metal, or laminate) assemblies, parts, skins, components, equipment, or structures into semi-finished or finished products. Position Requirements: This position requires at least two years of experience working with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job. The candidate will receive general supervision, and instructions are given for routine work while detailed instructions are given for new activities or special assignments. They are able to resolve routine questions and perform more advanced functions. What you’ll get to do: * Read and interpret blueprints. * Lay out articles, cuts parts or materials to size and apply liquid or solid bonding agents. * Understanding of ply orientations and vacuum bagging processes * Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycle. * Control conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used. * Sand, burs and smooth over areas, apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges. * Monitor and verify quality of finished product. * Complete repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions. Verifies quality of finished product. · Basic Qualifications: * High School diploma or GED with 2-years of relatable composite fabrication or bonding experience in manufacturing/production environment * Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access for advancements and opportunities. * This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces * Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed...
